SHANTUAN COLEMAN TAYLOR, PhD

Dr. Shantuan Coleman Taylor is an author with a current writing focus on non-“fiction.”  She is also a professor, influencer, interior designer and engineer. Dr. Taylor has written articles and technical white papers from “Faculty Having It All: Industry, Academia, Entrepreneurship” to “Evaluation of the Japanese Experimental Module Post Qualification Review JS-1028 Technical White Paper to NASA Johnson Space Center.”  Also, jointly wrote the Foundation Coalition, ABET outcome(d): An ability to function on multidisciplinary teams during her tenure at Texas A&M University with authors  S. Haag, J. Froyd,  S. Coleman Taylor, and R. Caso. In addition, she collaborated with R. Aló, K. Barnes, S.Coleman,  K. Baxter, Kuslikis, Fox, Geoffrey, Ramirez, Foertsch, CI-TEAM Advances in the MSI Community and the MSI Cyber Infrastructure Empowerment Coalition MSI-CIEC during her tenure at the University of Houston Downtown and various other articles with magazine and at other universities.

Dr. Taylor displays remarkable skill as she has worked on complex projects requiring her to write while paying attention to detail, and ensuring timely outcomes, without compromising quality. As a fledging scholar, Dr. Taylor shared her expert knowledge and inspiration in the completion of many of her colleague’s dissertations. Her mastery of research methodology, and ability to handle challenging questions smoothly, with humor, in a clear, concise, and well-thought manner was a welcome assistance in their academic success. Dr. Taylor’s expert advice and leadership skills was regularly sought by her peers. Though working with one’s peers in a doctoral program is often considered to be highly competitive, it is quite the opposite with Dr. Taylor. Her natural charm, humor, humility, and positive attitude enable her to embrace various perspectives and provide opinions to her peers open -mindedly. In addition, she is an active and financial member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc., Lifetime member of the National Society of Black Engineers, founder of Brown Girl Empire LLC, and co-founder of American Association of Adjuncts in Education, and the CEO of the HomeStagingLens.com.

Dr. Taylor is the co-author of “I have a PhD: Now What? And is currently debuting the long awaited book“Simple Little Words Huge Impact.” Taylor’s dissertation was entitled The Pedagogy of Engineering Education. Dr. Taylor excels where others struggle because she values, understands, and utilizes a team concept in her accomplishments. Dr. Taylor has been consistently lauded for her invaluable leadership. Equally important, she recognizes those who contribute to any success to which she is involved. When she is not writing she is teaching engineering students how to engineer their way towards a PhD and working on Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Programs. Taylor’s focus is on the plight of people stepping into your greatness.

THE LONG GAME

The long game of love should be a couple’s focus. As a married couple, we intentionally nurture our relationship. Therefore, relationships need a reality check ever so often. One of the most important things is to continue doing the things that brought you together initially.
Often people ask me why did I chose Timothy. The truth of the matter is Timothy chose me a long time ago when we were in the 8th grade. HOW ONE SEES LOVE DETERMINES HOW THEY LOVE

Love is the same yet different. There is a medium of compromise or conquest you must learn to navigate in the beginning as you pass through the “getting to know each other” process of a relationship. Then there is a learning to “live with each other” in a marriage.
We’re sharing what love looks like from our perspective. It doesn’t happen overnight. It is a rollercoaster with thrills, and fear. There are a myriad of challenges along the way. There are ups, downs, peaks, valleys, smiles, frowns, and other things upon the horizon. There will be rough seas where you must hold to each other for safety until you get back to calm waters and love can blossom. Love is everything you imagined and nothing you expected. Yet love can be pretty.
